Hillary Clinton Clapped Back At The GOP On Health Care And Its So, So Savage

,

Hillary Rodham Clinton may not have won, but she sure ain’t beaten.

The former secretary of state and 2016 presidential candidate dropped the mic on Twitter on July 5, when she tweeted out this glorious response to GOP accusations that asked where the Democrats’ plan on health care is.

If you follow the link, it takes you to the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign page on which she lays out her detailed proposal for health care.

The tweet is in response to a Republican ad on healthcare released the same day.

In the ad, the Republican National Committee lays the blame on Democrats for not working with the GOP to repeal and replace Obamacare. The unpopular Republican health care bill has been through two iterations and has since stalled in the Senate as Majority Leader Mitch McConnell fights to get votes for its passage. The bill was heavily criticized after a Congressional Budget Office (CBO) report found that it would kick 22 million people off health insurance.

The RNC ad was tweeted out with a caption, Democrats refuse to bring anything to the table. Where’s THEIR plan? An accompanying tweet attacked Clinton directly, asking for her plan.

Clinton was, evidently, not having it.

Clinton has been an advocate for more than 20 years. In 1993, Clinton, then first lady, advocated in Congress for universal health insurance. The bill, dubbed Hillarycare, failed without coming to a vote. As secretary of state, Clinton also reportedly lobbied for the passage of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), according to The New York Times.

And as a presidential candidate, Clinton made health care reform, including fixing the flaws of the ACA, a major part of her platform. A platform which she handed out in the tweet, in case the GOP needs a primer. How generous.

Twitter was into it.

If there’s one thing you can sayabout Hillary Clinton, it’s that she does her homework. Apparently, she’s willing to let the GOP crib off her notes.
